Tom recalls getting his first camera, when he was 8 years old. A plastic fixed lens 35mm film winded up camera, which has forever etched his in his mind.

His interest in photography grew further, during high school where he studied Arts and Photography, and learnt to also utilities his excellent computing skills and deliver one of the first HSC (Higher School Certificate) submission for “Digital Art” (back then it was known as Mixed Media) using an computer, one of the very first graphic/photo manipulation software call Deluxe Paint by Electronic Arts, a mono handheld scanner and colour matrix printer.

His interest in photography has never ceased, even when he continued to work as a computer technician, and later managing a couple of IT businesses, but his passion for photography started to take more serious shape when began capturing events and wedding around the mid 1990s.

Over the past 10 years, Tom’s career has diverse into corporate and commercial work, film/video based creative media as well as still photography in productions, in which it has allowed him to work and experience on unique and interesting projects and taken him across Asia, Europe, New Zealand and the most remote islands in the Pacific.

As Tom’s passion for photography, cinematography and film making expanded further, hoping one day he can share his passion with others, in 2012 he set upon getting his formal qualifications with two respected colleges (one recognised for film and television and the other with photography).

Tom has been an Accredited Professional Photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) for more than 10 years, and is an active member of Australian Cinematography Society (ACS), in which he continually participate to learn and share his knowledge, experiences with his industry peers.

Tom is also a licensed Drone Operator and is certified by the Australian Civil Aviation Authority (CASA).

# WORK
Tom is experienced and works in a number of capacities as a Photographer, Cinematographer (Director of Photography), Camera Operator and Colourist (Colour Grader), on feature films, documentaries and corporates and commercial productions. This works has appeared in cinemas, broadcast television and festivals throughout the world, and on streaming platforms including Netflix and DVD / Blueray media.

Tom has worked on projects that has taken him around the world, including with multinationals like DXC Corporations, James Hardie, Novartis, Huawei, Eli Lly, Countdown, and BP to name a few, he has also assisted with aerial filming on Australia's latest construction project for Sydney Metro.

# EDUCATION
Although Tom has many years as an experienced photographer and cinematographer/camera operator, hoping one day he could share his passion. In 2012 he focused on getting formal qualifications with two of Sydney’s leading and respected colleges for photography and screen media, and 2020 during the pandemic lockdown period he completed his Training And Assessment TAE40116.
